|Optimism is up!
Consumer confidence is up:
- The stock markets have risen by about 3% in
the first 2 weeks of the year - can you imagine
if the trend continues all year?
- The National Retail Federation announced
that retail sales were up 1.1% for the holiday
season to $644 Billion, which was a pleasant
surprise considering they were expecting a
reduction of 1%.
- The index of consumer attitudes in a survey
just released reported fewer job losses in their
immediate circle of friends and family, and more
believe the next month would be a good time to
buy real estate.

Rubio's Giveaway - Go Chargers!
There's a lot at stake in
Sunday's Chargers game with the Jets. Who wins this game
will determine a number of things, including whether or
not you will get a free fish taco or a free soft drink
at Rubio's next Wednesday. If the Chargers win, then a
free taco will be on the house at Rubio's between 2:30
p.m. and closing on Wednesday, Jan. 20. If they lose,
then a free regular-sized drink will be offered to help
fans drown our sorrows.
I predict we will be eating
lots of fish tacos next
