Greetings from Jennifer Ross -  Realtor
Welcome to the first week of Spring, ".. a time for rebirth and the fulfillment of new life." (Byron Pulsifer)
Here is some Spring trivia:
  • On the first day of spring, the hours of daylight and of darkness are equal.
Around March 21st, the earth's position in its orbit around the sun places its equator in line with the sun. This time period is called the "vernal equinox" and is the first day of spring in the Northern Hemisphere. "Vernal" means spring and "equinox" means equal.
  • Baby birds must learn how to sing.
Though baby birds are born with the ability to sing, they must learn the songs of their species. An isolated baby bird will learn simple songs, but not the complex songs of its species. A bird must hear in order to learn. Only a few birds can sing the songs of other species. The mockingbird seems to be the best at imitating the songs of other birds.
  • Spring Fever is a real physical condition.
Spring Fever is a real physical condition which commonly occurs when a sudden warm spell follows a long cold period. When the temperature rises, the body has to get rid of heat; thus there's a dilation or expansion of the blood vessels so that blood can be carried to the body surface where heat can be lost quickly. Some people experience an energetic feeling when this change happens due to the body's reaction to the great amount of internal work going on.
Downsizing: Advantages to Trading Down in Home Size
There are many reasons to buy a smaller home -- to downsize from your present home -- but sometimes a simple notion propels home owners to trade down: Smaller might be better.
Increased Cash Flow
If you're spending less on your mortgage payment, you are likely to have money leftover every month to allocate for other needs or desires. Or perhaps you could pay cash for a smaller home from the proceeds of your existing home.
More Time
Fewer rooms and smaller spaces cut down on the time expended to clean and maintain. Smaller homes can reduce the time spent on household tasks, leaving more hours in the day to do something else more enjoyable.
Lower Utility Bills
It costs a lot less to heat / air condition a smaller home than larger. Typically, there is no wasted space such as vaults in a smaller home. Less square footage decreases the amount of energy expended.
Reducing energy is better for the environment and helps to keep your home green.
Reduced Consumption
If there is no place to put it, you're much less likely to buy it. That means less money is spent on clothing, food and consumer goods.
Minimized Stress
Less responsibility, smaller workload, increased cash flow and greater flexibility -- added together, they all reduce stress. Home owners who have successfully downsized sometimes appear happier when they're no longer overwhelmed by the demands of a larger home.

Famous Quotes
"In springtime, love is carried on the breeze. Watch out for flying passion or kisses whizzing by your head."
 Emma Racine deFleur

"Springtime is the land awakening. The March winds are the morning yawn."
Lewis Grizzard
"Science has never drummed up quite as effective a tranquilizing agent as a sunny spring day."
W. Earl Hall

"Spring is nature's way of saying, "Let's party!"

Hilarious Animated Short Film
Pigeon Impossible Image
Pigeon: Impossible
is the tale of Walter, a rookie secret agent faced with a problem seldom covered in basic training: what to do when a curious pigeon gets trapped inside your multi-million dollar, government-issued nuclear briefcase.
The film took nearly 5 years to complete and is the first attempt at animation by writer/director Lucas Martell: "When the project started, it was mostly an excuse to learn 3D animation, but by the end of the project I had spent so much time reworking and polishing the story that I just wanted people to laugh."
The end-result is a hilarious 6-minute romp through the streets of Washington D.C. as our hero fights to save himself, and the world from the chaos reigned down by a hungry pigeon. Breathtaking visuals and a sweeping soundtrack showcase the work of nearly one-hundred talented artists and musicians, and the film stands as a testament to what can be accomplished by a team of dedicated volunteers working for the love of their craft.
